A man stood up in the mosque of Madinah and said, "Messenger of Allah, from where do you command us to enter the state of ihram?"He replied, "The people of Madinah enter ihram from Dhul Hulayfah, the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn."Nafi said to me that Ibn Umar said, "They claim that the Prophet ﷺ also said, 'And the people of Yemen enter ihram from Yalamlam.'" But Ibn Umar used to say, "I do not recall that part."
حدثنا عبد الله قال وجدت في كتاب أبي حدثنا محمد بن بكر أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني نافع
قام رجل في مسجد المدينة فقال يا رسول الله من أين تأمرنا أن نهل قال مهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة ومهل أهل الشام من الجحفة ومهل أهل نجد من قرن قال لي نافع وقال لي ابن عمر وزعموا أن النبي ﷺ قال ومهل أهل اليمن من يلملم وكان يقول لا أذكر ذلك
Its chain of transmission is sahih. It is a longer version of 5059. Regarding his wording "mahl," a marginal note in manuscript M indicates that another copy reads "sahl" in all three places.
