The narrator said, I accompanied Ibn Umar from Madinah to Makkah, and he would pray on his mount facing in the direction of Makkah.So I said to Salim, "If he were facing toward Madinah, how would he pray?"Salim replied, "Ask him."So I asked Ibn Umar, and he said, "Yes, and this way and that way." Then he added, "Because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did so."
حدثناه حسين حدثنا شيبان عن منصور عن عبد الرحمن بن سعد مولى آل عمر فذكر معناه
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of the one before it.
