I had a wife whom I loved, but Umar disliked her and ordered me to divorce her. I refused. So he went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, Abdullah bin Umar has a wife whom I dislike for him. I ordered him to divorce her, but he refused."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said to me, "Abdullah, divorce your wife."So I divorced her.
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن
كانت تحتي امرأة أحبها وكان عمر يكرهها فأمرني أن أطلقها فأبيت فأتى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن عند عبد الله بن عمر امرأة كرهتها له فأمرته أن يطلقها فأبى فقال لي رسول الله ﷺ يا عبد الله طلق امرأتك فطلقتها
