Ibn Abbas used to perform ablution washing each part once, and he attributed this practice to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Ibn Umar used to perform ablution washing each part three times, and he attributed this practice to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
حدثنا الوليد يعني ابن مسلم حدثنا الأوزاعي
أن ابن عباس كان يتوضأ مرة مرة ويسند ذلك إلى رسول الله ﷺ وأن ابن عمر كان يتوضأ ثلاثا ثلاثا ويسند ذلك إلى رسول الله ﷺ
