Ibn Umar heard the sound of a shepherd's flute, so he placed his fingers in his ears and turned his mount away from the road, saying, "Nafi, can you still hear it?"I would say, "Yes."He kept going until I said, "No."Then he removed his fingers from his ears and brought his mount back onto the road, saying, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hear the sound of a shepherd's flute and do exactly this."

سمع ابن عمر صوت زمارة راع فوضع إصبعيه في أذنيه وعدل راحلته عن الطريق وهو يقول يا نافع أتسمع فأقول نعم قال فيمضي حتى قلت لا قال فوضع يديه وأعاد الراحلة إلى الطريق وقال رأيت رسول الله ﷺ وسمع صوت زمارة راع فصنع مثل هذا
