A man called out, "Messenger of Allah, what clothing should a person in Muharram avoid?"He replied, "He must not wear trousers, a shirt, a hooded cloak, or a turban, nor any garment touched by saffron or wars dye. Let one of you enter into ihram in a waist wrap, an upper garment, and sandals. If he cannot find sandals, let him wear leather socks, but he should cut them so that they fall below the ankles."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن سالم
أن رجلا نادى فقال يا رسول الله ما يجتنب المحرم من الثياب فقال لا يلبس السراويل ولا القميص ولا البرنس ولا العمامة ولا ثوبا مسه زعفران ولا ورس وليحرم أحدكم في إزار ورداء ونعلين فإن لم يجد نعلين فليلبس خفين وليقطعهما حتى يكونا أسفل من العقبين
