I prayed alongside the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman at Mina for six years, and they all prayed the traveler's prayer.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنبأنا شعبة عن خبيب بن عبد الرحمن بن خبيب عن حفص بن عاصم
صليت مع النبي ﷺ وأبي بكر وعمر وعثمان ست سنين بمنى فصلوا صلاة المسافر
Its isnad is sahih. Khubayb bin Abdul-Rahman bin Khubayb Ansari is trustworthy, one of the teachers of Malik. Ibn Main, Nasai, and others considered him trustworthy. Bukhari mentioned him in Kabir 2/1/191 and noted that he was the maternal uncle of Ubaydullah bin Umar. The hadith was narrated by Muslim 1:193 through two isnads by way of Shubah. Its meaning has already appeared, both at length and in summary, at 4533 and 4652, and see also 4760. Khubayb is spelled with a dotted kha, in diminutive form.
