I was standing in prayer facing the House, with an elderly man beside me. I prolonged my prayer and placed my hand on my waist. The elderly man struck my chest a firm blow. I said to myself, "What has displeased him about me?" So I hurried to finish my prayer. There was a young servant sitting behind him, so I asked, "Who is this elderly man?"He replied, "This is Abdullah bin Umar."So I sat down until he finished his prayer, then I said, "Abu Abdul-Rahman, what displeased you about me?"He asked, "Was that you?"I said, "Yes."He said, "That is the crucified posture in prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid it."

كنت قائما أصلي إلى البيت وشيخ إلى جانبي فأطلت الصلاة فوضعت يدي على خصري فضرب الشيخ صدري بيده ضربة لا يألو فقلت في نفسي ما رابه مني فأسرعت الانصراف فإذا غلام خلفه قاعد فقلت من هذا الشيخ قال هذا عبد الله بن عمر فجلست حتى انصرف فقلت أبا عبد الرحمن ما رابك مني قال أنت هو قلت نعم قال ذاك الصلب في الصلاة وكان رسول الله ﷺ ينهى عنه
