I asked Ibn Umar about the prayer at Mina.He said, "Have you heard of Muhammad ﷺ?"I replied, "Yes, and I have believed in him and been guided through him."He said, "He used to pray two rakahs at Mina."
حدثنا وكيع حدثني سعيد بن السائب
سألت ابن عمر عن الصلاة بمنى فقال هل سمعت محمدا ﷺ قلت نعم وآمنت فاهتديت به قال فإنه كان يصلي بمنى ركعتين
Its isnad is sahih. Saeed bin Saaib bin Yasar Thaqafi Taifi is trustworthy, Ibn Main, Daraqutni, and others considered him trustworthy, and Bukhari gave his biography in Al-Kabir 2/1/439-440. Dawud bin Abu Asim bin Urwa bin Masud Thaqafi is a trustworthy successor, Abu Zura, Abu Dawud, Nasai, and others considered him trustworthy, and Bukhari gave his biography in Al-Kabir 2/1/210-211, where he said, "He heard from Ibn Umar." The meaning of this hadith has already come by way other than this one, at 4533 and 4652.
