Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for permission to spend the nights of Mina in Makkah on account of his duty of providing water to the pilgrims, and he granted him permission.

استأذن العباس بن عبد المطلب رسول الله ﷺ أن يبيت بمكة ليالي منى من أجل سقايته فأذن له
