The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A person in the state of ihram for Hajj or Umrah must not marry, must not give anyone in marriage, and must not propose marriage."
حدثنا عبد الله بن بكر ومحمد بن جعفر قالا حدثنا سعيد عن مطر ويعلى بن حكيم عن نافع عن نبيه بن وهب عن أبان بن عثمان بن عفان
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا ينكح المحرم ولا ينكح ولا يخطب
Its isnad is sahih. Saeed is Ibn Abu Aruba. Matar is Ibn Tahman al-Warraq, whom we have already discussed at 452. Yaala bin Hakeem Thaqafi is trustworthy. The hadith is a repetition of 401.
