Meaning, from the Prophet ﷺ, "The people of Najd enter ihram from Qarn, the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Yemen from Yalamlam." Ibn Umar did not hear this part directly, but he did hear the Prophet ﷺ say, "The people of Madinah enter ihram from Dhul-Hulayfah."They asked him, "And what about the people of Iraq?"Ibn Umar replied, "Iraq did not exist at that time."
حدثنا سفيان سمع صدقة
يعني عن النبي ﷺ يهل أهل نجد من قرن وأهل الشام من الجحفة وأهل اليمن من يلملم ولم يسمعه ابن عمر وسمع النبي ﷺ مهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة قالوا له فأين أهل العراق قال ابن عمر لم يكن يومئذ
Its isnad is sahih. Sadaqah is Ibn Yasar Makki, and he is trustworthy, having been deemed trustworthy by Ahmad, Ibn Main, Abu Dawud, and others. He narrates from Ibn Umar, even though this is not mentioned in Tahdhib, because he belongs to the same generation as Zuhri, and because the narration of Sadaqah Makki from Ibn Umar will come later at 5349.He is the uncle of Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Yasar, contrary to what is stated in Tahdhib that this is a mistake, for Ibn Ishaq said in the Sirah, "My uncle Sadaqah bin Yasar narrated to me."
