The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fresh fruit for dried dates. Sufyan said, "This is how we memorized it, fresh fruit for dried dates." Zayd bin Thabit informed them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession in the case of araya sales.
