The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not leave fire burning in your homes when you go to sleep."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا معمر أخبرنا الزهري
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تتركوا النار في بيوتكم حين تنامون
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it, 11:71, and Muslim, 2:134, both through Sufyan bin Uyayna from Zuhri. Abu Dawud related it, 4:523, from Ahmad bin Hanbal, from Sufyan, from Zuhri, and Munziri also attributed it to Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. Ahmad's narration from Sufyan will come later, 4546.
