Its isnad is sahih. It appears to me that the doubt about its being raised to the Prophet came from Ibn Ulaya, though it may have come from Ayub. However, he stated it definitively as a raised report in other narrations. Bukhari related it, 3:56, via Wahib, from Ayub and Ubaydullah, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, as a raised report without any doubt about it. Bukhari said, "Abdul-Wahhab followed him in this, narrating it from Ayub." Muslim related it, 1:216, via Abdul-Wahhab, from Ayub, as a raised report, without expressing any doubt.Bukhari also related it, 1:441, and Muslim, 1:216, via Yahya, from Ubaydullah, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, as a raised report, and it will come again by this route at 4653. Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, and Nasai also related it, as noted in al-Muntaqa, 777.
