The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you know which charity is the most virtuous?"They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "The loan-gift, that one of you lends his brother a dirham, or the back of a riding animal, or the milk of a sheep, or the milk of a cow."

Its isnad is daif, for reasons we will mention. It appears in Majma al-Zawaid 3:133, where he says, "Ahmad and Abu Yaala reported it, with the addition of the dinar or the cow, as did Bazzar and Tabarani in al-Awsat, and the men of Ahmad's chain are the men of the Sahih!" This is an overreach on the part of Hafiz Haythami, for the isnad here contains Ibrahim bin Muslim Hijri, who is daif, especially in his narration from Abu Ahwas, as we explained under 6323. Moreover, he is not among the men of the Sahih, none of the authors of the six books narrated from him except Ibn Majah.
