Abdullah bin Masud reported,

While we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, there were about eighty men from Quraysh present, with no one among them except those of Quraysh. By Allah, I have never seen the faces of Some men more handsome than their faces were that day. They began speaking of women and conversing about them, and he conversed along with them, until I wished he would fall silent.Then I came to him later. He gave the testimony of faith and said, "To proceed, people of Quraysh, you are the rightful holders of this affair so long as you do not disobey Allah. But if you disobey Him, He will send against you someone who will strip you bare as this stick is stripped." He was holding a stick in his hand. Then he peeled his stick, and it became white and gleaming.

حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن صالح قال ابن شهاب حدثني عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة أن

عبد الله بن مسعود قال

بينا نحن عند رسول الله ﷺ في قريب من ثمانين رجلا من قريش ليس فيهم إلا قرشي لا والله ما رأيت صفحة وجوه رجال قط أحسن من وجوههم يومئذ فذكروا النساء فتحدثوا فيهن فتحدث معهم حتى أحببت أن يسكت قال ثم أتيته فتشهد ثم قال أما بعد يا معشر قريش فإنكم أهل هذا الأمر ما لم تعصوا الله فإذا عصيتموه بعث إليكم من يلحاكم كما يلحى هذا القضيب لقضيب في يده ثم لحا قضيبه فإذا هو أبيض يصلد
