I came to Abdullah bin Masud and found him on his roof. I heard him saying, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth."So I climbed up to him and said, "Abu Abdul-Rahman, what is the matter with you that you say, 'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth, Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth'?"He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us that Laylat al-Qadr falls in the middle of the last seven nights, and that the sun rises on its morning without rays. So I climbed up and looked at it, and I said, 'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth, Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.'"

أتيت عبد الله بن مسعود فوجدته على إنجاز له يعني سطحا فسمعته يقول صدق الله ورسوله فصعدت إليه فقلت يا أبا عبد الرحمن ما لك قلت صدق الله ورسوله صدق الله ورسوله قال إن رسول الله ﷺ نبأنا أن ليلة القدر في النصف من السبع الأواخر وإن الشمس تطلع صبيحتها ليس لها شعاع قال فصعدت فنظرت إليها فقلت صدق الله ورسوله صدق الله ورسوله
