The Prophet ﷺ said, "Some men keep absenting themselves from the Friday prayer. I have a mind to order my young men to gather bundles of firewood, then command a man to lead the people in prayer, while I go and burn down the houses of those who fail to attend the Friday prayer."
حدثنا إبراهيم بن خالد حدثنا رباح عن معمر عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي الأحوص
عن النبي ﷺ قال يتخلفون عن الجمعة لقد هممت أن آمر فتياني فيحزموا حطبا ثم آمر رجلا يؤم بالناس فأحرق على قوم بيوتهم لا يشهدون الجمعة
Its isnad is sahih. Ibrahim bin Khalid bin Ubayd, the muezzin of Sanaa, his reliability was already established at 544, and we add here that Bukhari mentioned him in al-Kabir 1/1/284. Rabah is Ibn Zayd al-Sanaani, whose reliability was already established at 1432. The hadith is given at greater length at 4295.
