Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Razzaq's father is Hammam bin Nafi al-Humayri al-Sanaani, and he is trustworthy. Ishaq bin Mansur affirmed his trustworthiness, Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, and Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 4/2/237.Mina bin Abu Mina al-Khazzaz is the freedman of Abdul-Rahman bin Awf, and he is a senior successor, to the point that some mistakenly listed him among the companions. Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, while Ibn Main, Nasai, and others declared him daif. It appears from their statements that what they held against him was excessive Shia leanings. However, Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 4/2/31 without mentioning any criticism of him, and said, Ahmad said, on the authority of Abdul-Razzaq, "My father informed me, Mina narrated to us and said, I learned Baqarah and Al Imran from Abu Hurairah, and I reached puberty at the time Uthman was given the pledge of allegiance." He has a biography in al-Isabah 6:217-218.The hadith appears in Majma al-Zawaid 9:22, where it is said, Ahmad narrated it, and among its narrators is Mina bin Abu Mina, whom Ibn Hibban considered trustworthy while the majority declared him daif, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy.This hadith indicates that the delegations of the jinn came on multiple occasions, and that this particular delegation came near the end of his life. See 4149 and 4296.I later found that Ibn Kathir quoted this hadith in his tafsir 7:481 from this very source, and said, "This is how I found it in the Musnad, in abridged form. Hafiz Abu Naeem narrated it in his book Dalail al-Nubuwwah, saying, Sulayman bin Ahmad bin Ayub narrated to us, Ishaq bin Ibrahim narrated to us, and Abu Bakr bin Malik [meaning al-Qatiei] narrated to us, Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Hanbal narrated to us, my father narrated to us, who said, Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us on the authority of his father, on the authority of Mina, on the authority of Ibn Masud," and he related a lengthy hadith.Ibn Kathir then said, "This is a very unusual hadith, and it may well not be reliably preserved. Even granting that it is sound, it seems apparent that this happened after their delegations came to him in Madinah."
