Subayah bint Harith was mentioned in the hadith, or something similar to it. In this version it states, "When a suitable match comes to you, come to me," or "inform me," and it does not mention Ibn Masud.
حدثنا عبد الله بن بكر حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة عن خلاس
أن سبيعة بنت الحارث فذكر الحديث أو نحو ذلك وقال فيه وإذا أتاك كفؤ فأتيني أو أنبئيني وليس فيه ابن مسعود

Its chain of transmission is sahih, though it is mursal. This repeats what came before, and this is not a defect in the connected version, since connection represents an addition from a trustworthy narrator. Furthermore, Abdullah bin Utbah heard this story from someone other than his uncle Ibn Masud, so he would sometimes narrate it as mursal, sometimes as connected through his uncle, and sometimes through Subayah herself, as we established in the commentary on Al-Risalah, in what we referred to in the previous hadith.
