Subayah bint Harith gave birth fifteen nights after her husband's death. Abu Sanabil came in to her and said, "It seems you are thinking about marriage. You cannot do that until the longer of the two waiting periods has passed."So she went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him what Abu Sanabil had said.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Sanabil has spoken falsely. When someone you find suitable comes to you, bring him to me," or he said, "inform me." And he told her that her waiting period had ended.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة عن خلاس وعن أبي حسان عن عبد الله بن عتبة بن مسعود
أن سبيعة بنت الحارث وضعت حملها بعد وفاة زوجها بخمس عشرة ليلة فدخل عليها أبو السنابل فقال كأنك تحدثين نفسك بالباءة ما لك ذلك حتى ينقضي أبعد الأجلين فانطلقت إلى رسول الله ﷺ فأخبرته بما قال أبو السنابل فقال رسول الله ﷺ كذب أبو السنابل إذا أتاك أحد ترضينه فأتيني به أو قال فأنبئيني فأخبرها أن عدتها قد انقضت
