Abdullah bin Masud reported,

Umm Habibah said, "O Allah, let me enjoy the company of my husband, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, my brother Muawiya, and my father Abu Sufyan."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied to her, "You have asked Allah regarding fixed lifespans, predetermined traces, and apportioned provisions. Nothing of these can be advanced before its appointed time, nor can any of them be delayed. Had you asked Allah to save you from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire, that would have been better."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about apes and swine, whether they were among those who had been transformed, or whether they existed before that. He said, "No, they existed before that. When Allah destroys a people, He does not give them progeny or descendants."

عن عبد الله قال

قالت أم حبيبة اللهم أمتعني بزوجي رسول الله ﷺ وبأخي معاوية وبأبي أبي سفيان قال فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ دعوت الله عز وجل لآجال مضروبة وآثار مبلوغة وأرزاق مقسومة لا يتقدم منها شيء قبل حله ولا يتأخر منها لو سألت الله عز وجل أن ينجيك من عذاب القبر وعذاب النار وسئل رسول الله ﷺ عن القردة والخنازير هم مما مسخ أو شيء كان قبل ذلك فقال لا بل كان قبل ذلك إن الله عز وجل لم يهلك قوما فيجعل لهم نسلا ولا عاقبة
