The Prophet ﷺ recited Surah an-Najm and prostrated, and everyone with him prostrated as well, except for an old man who took a handful of pebbles or dirt, raised it to his forehead like this, and said, "This is enough for me." The narrator said, "I later saw him killed as a disbeliever."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن شعبة قال حدثني أبو إسحاق عن الأسود
أن النبي ﷺ قرأ النجم فسجد فيها ومن معه إلا شيخ كبير أخذ كفا من حصى أو تراب فقال به هكذا وضعه على جبهته قال فلقد رأيته قتل كافرا
