The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Recite the Quran to me."I said, "Messenger of Allah, how can I recite it to you when it was revealed to you?"He replied, "I would love to hear it from someone other than myself."So I began with Surah an-Nisa and recited to him. When I reached the verse "How will it be when We bring forward a witness from every nation, and bring you as a witness against these people?" [Nisa 4:41], I looked at him and his eyes were overflowing with tears.

قال لي رسول الله ﷺ اقرأ علي القرآن قلت يا رسول الله كيف أقرأ عليك وإنما أنزل عليك قال إني أشتهي أن أسمعه من غيري قال فافتتحت سورة النساء فقرأت عليه فلما بلغت {فكيف إذا جئنا من كل أمة بشهيد وجئنا بك على هؤلاء شهيدا} قال نظرت إليه وعيناه تذرفان
