When Abdullah arrived at the Jamrah, that is, Jamrat al-Uqba, he went down into the middle of the valley, faced the Kaabah, and positioned the Jamrah over his right eyebrow. Then he threw seven pebbles, saying takbir with each one, and said, "From this very spot, by the One besides whom there is no god, the one to whom Surat al-Baqarah was revealed cast his pebbles."

لما أتى عبد الله الجمرة جمرة العقبة استبطن الوادي واستقبل الكعبة وجعل الجمرة على حاجبه الأيمن ثم رمى بسبع حصيات يكبر مع كل حصاة ثم قال من هاهنا والذي لا إله غيره رمى الذي أنزلت عليه سورة البقرة
