Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every prophet has close allies among the prophets, and my closest ally among them is my father and the friend of my Lord," then he recited , "Indeed, the people most worthy of Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet, and those who believe" [Aal Imran 3:68].

عن عبد الله قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ لكل نبي ولاة من النبيين وإن وليي منهم أبي وخليل ربي عز وجل ثم قرأ {إن أولى الناس بإبراهيم للذين اتبعوه وهذا النبي والذين آمنوا}
