I was with Abdullah until he reached Jamrat al-Aqaba. He said, "Hand me some pebbles."So I handed him seven pebbles. He said to me, "Take hold of the camel's reins."Then he turned toward the pillar and threw the seven pebbles at it from the bottom of the valley while mounted, saying the takbir with each pebble, and he said, "O Allah, make it an accepted pilgrimage and a forgiven sin."Then he said, "This is the spot where the one to whom Surat al-Baqarah was revealed used to stand."

كنت مع عبد الله حتى انتهى إلى جمرة العقبة فقال ناولني أحجارا قال فناولته سبعة أحجار فقال لي خذ بزمام الناقة قال ثم عاد إليها فرمى بها من بطن الوادي بسبع حصيات وهو راكب يكبر مع كل حصاة وقال اللهم اجعله حجا مبرورا وذنبا مغفورا ثم قال هاهنا كان يقوم الذي أنزلت عليه سورة البقرة
