When Ati saw that Uthman prayed four units of prayer at Mina, he said, "I prayed two units behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, two units behind Abu Bakr, and two units behind Umar. How I wish my share out of these four units could be two units that are accepted."
حدثنا ابن نمير أخبرنا الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد قال
لما رأى عثمان صلى بمنى أربع ركعات صليت خلف رسول الله ﷺ ركعتين وخلف أبي بكر ركعتين وعمر ركعتين ليت حظي من أربع ركعتان متقبلتان
