When the verse "those who believe and do not mix their faith with wrongdoing" [Anam 6:82] was revealed, the companions asked, "Messenger of Allah, which of us does not wrong himself?"He replied, "That is not what is meant. It refers to associating partners with Allah. Have you not heard what Luqman said to his son, 'Do not associate anything with Allah. Indeed, associating partners with Him is a tremendous wrong'?" [Luqman 31:13]
حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن علقمة
لما نزلت هذه الآية {الذين آمنوا ولم يلبسوا إيمانهم بظلم} قالوا يا رسول الله فأينا لا يظلم نفسه قال ليس ذاك هو الشرك ألم تسمعوا ما قال لقمان لابنه {لا تشرك بالله إن الشرك لظلم عظيم}
