Alqama and Aswad sought permission to enter upon Abdullah. He said, "Rulers will come over you who will be too occupied to pray at the proper time, so pray it at its appointed time."Then he stood up and prayed between me and him, and said, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it."

استأذن علقمة والأسود على عبد الله قال إنه سيليكم أمراء يشتغلون عن وقت الصلاة فصلوها لوقتها ثم قام فصلى بيني وبينه ثم قال هكذا رأيت رسول الله ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih, even though it appears at first glance to be disconnected. For Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad relates it from his father, Aswad bin Yazid, and from his father's uncle, Alqama bin Qays, as has already occurred at 3927, and as will come at 4311 and 4347.Harun bin Antara bin Abdul-Rahman Shaybani is trustworthy. Ahmad, Ibn Main, and others confirmed his reliability, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. Daraqutni and others criticized him without any real basis, and in fact Ibn Hibban contradicted himself, since he also mentioned him among the daif narrators. Bukhari gave him a biographical entry in al-Kabir, 4/2/221, and mentioned no criticism of him there.The meaning of this hadith has already occurred in two hadiths, 3927 and 3889, and we mentioned in the first of them that part of it was narrated by Abu Dawud and Nasai through the route of Harun bin Antara, and this is that same route.
