Abdullah bin Masud reported,

A group of people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, a companion of ours has fallen ill. Should we cauterize him?"He remained silent for a while, then said, "If you wish, cauterize him, and if you wish, treat him with heated stones."

عن ابن مسعود قال

جاء نفر إلى النبي ﷺ فقالوا يا رسول الله إن صاحبا لنا اشتكى أفنكويه فسكت ساعة ثم قال إن شئتم فاكووه وإن شئتم فارضفوه
