We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a cave when there was revealed, "By the winds sent forth" [Mursalat 77:1]. We were receiving it directly from his mouth when a snake came out of its hole. We rushed at it, but it got away from us and slipped back into its hole.He then said, "It was spared your harm, and you were spared its harm."
