Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed something, and a man from the people said, "This distribution was not done seeking the face of Allah ."So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him what was said. He became angry, until I saw the anger in his face, and he said, "May Allah have mercy on Musa. He was hurt with more than this, yet he was patient."

حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة قال سليمان الأعمش أخبرني قال سمعت أبا وائل قال سمعت

عبد الله يقول

قسم رسول الله ﷺ قسمة فقال رجل من القوم إن هذه القسمة ما يراد بها وجه الله عز وجل قال فأتيت النبي ﷺ فحدثته قال فغضب حتى رأيت الغضب في وجهه فقال يرحم الله موسى قد أوذي بأكثر من ذلك فصبر
