I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The deceased is tormented by the weeping of his family over him."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا رباح بن أبي معروف عن ابن أبي مليكة سمع ابن عباس رضي الله عنه يقول قال لي
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن الميت ليعذب ببكاء أهله عليه
Its isnad is sahih. Rabah bin Abu Maruf Al-Makki was mentioned by Ibn Hibban in Ath-Thiqat, who said, "He was among those who erred and made mistakes." Ahmad said, "He was righteous." Ibn Adi said, "I do not see any problem with his narrations, and I have not found anything objectionable from him." Muslim included him in his narrations. See 366.
