The people of the Jahiliyyah would not depart from Muzdalifah until they said, "Shine forth, Thabir, so that we may set out." When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, he opposed their practice and would depart from Muzdalifah after praying the dawn prayer at the time when those who pray it in the early light pray, before sunrise.

كان أهل الجاهلية لا يفيضون من جمع حتى يقولوا أشرق ثبير كيما نغير فلما جاء رسول الله ﷺ خالفهم فكان يدفع من جمع مقدار صلاة المسفرين بصلاة الغداة قبل طلوع الشمس
