I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever sets up a rival to Allah, Allah will place him in the Fire."And there is another statement I make which I did not hear from him, "Whoever dies without setting up a rival to Allah, Allah will admit him to Paradise. These prayers are an expiation for what occurs between them, as long as one avoids the major sins."
حدثنا أسود بن عامر أخبرنا أبو بكر عن عاصم عن أبي وائل قال
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من جعل لله ندا جعله الله في النار وقال وأخرى أقولها لم أسمعها منه من مات لا يجعل لله ندا أدخله الله الجنة وإن هذه الصلوات كفارات لما بينهن ما اجتنب المقتل
Its isnad is sahih. Its beginning has already appeared with two sahih chains, 3552 and 3625, while its ending, concerning prayers being expiations, I have not found in any place other than this one, except for two other daif narrations from Ibn Masud in Majma al-Zawaid 1:298, 299. Its meaning, however, is sahih and well established from the hadith of Abu Hurairah and others, as it was narrated from the hadith of Abu Hurairah by Muslim, 1:82, and Tirmidhi, 1:186–187.
