I was with the Prophet ﷺ on the night he met the jinn. He asked, "Do you have any water with you?"I replied, "No."He asked, "What is this in the water vessel?"I said, "Nabidh."He said, "Show it to me. A good date and pure water."He then performed ablution from it and led us in prayer.
حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا عن إسرائيل عن أبي فزارة عن أبي زيد مولى عمرو بن حريث
كنت مع النبي ﷺ ليلة لقي الجن فقال أمعك ماء فقلت لا فقال ما هذا في الإداوة قلت نبيذ قال أرنيها تمرة طيبة وماء طهور فتوضأ منها ثم صلى بنا
Its chain is daif. Abu Fazarah is Absi, whose name is Rashid bin Kaysan, and he is trustworthy. Ibn Main and others declared him trustworthy, and Bukhari mentioned him in al-Kabir 2/1/27. Abu Zayd, the freedman of Amr bin Hurayth, is majhul (unknown). Bukhari said, "His hadith is not sound."
