Abu Kanud reported,

I obtained a gold ring as part of the spoils in one of the military expeditions and wore it. I then went to Abdullah, who took it from me, placed it between his jaws, chewed it, and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing a gold ring," or he said, "a ring of gold."

أصبت خاتما من ذهب في بعض المغازي فلبسته فأتيت عبد الله فأخذه فوضعه بين لحييه فمضغه وقال نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يتختم بخاتم الذهب أو قال بحلقة الذهب
