I came to Zirr bin Hubaysh wearing two cloaks, and a love for him was cast upon me. Some young men were with him, and they said to me, "Ask him about the verse 'and he was at a distance of two bow-lengths or nearer' [Najm 53:9]."So I asked him, and he said, "Abdullah bin Masud narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Jibreel having six hundred wings."
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Kathir cited something similar in his Tafsir 8:98 from Tafsir Tabari, by way of Abdul-Wahid bin Ziyad, from Sulayman Shaybani, that is, Abu Ishaq, from Zirr bin Hubaysh. See also 3740, 3748.Duryan, this is how it appears in both original manuscripts, and it seems to be a type of garment.
