Its chain of transmission is daif due to it being a mursal report. Khalid bin Abu Yazid is how the name appears in both original manuscripts here, and he is Khalid bin Yazid Jumahi Misri. If what appears here has been accurately preserved, it is possible that his father was named Yazid and was known by the kunya Abu Yazid, and this Khalid is trustworthy. Abu Zura, Nasai, and others deemed him trustworthy. Ibn Yunus said, "He was a jurist and a mufti." Bukhari gave his biography in Kabir 2/1/165.Saeed bin Abu Hilal Laythi Misri is trustworthy. Ibn Khuzayma, Daraqutni, Ajli, and others deemed him trustworthy.Ibrahim bin Ubayd bin Rifa Zurqi Ansari is trustworthy. Abu Zura deemed him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat.Abu Muhammad, the companion of Ibn Masud, is mentioned by Ibn Hibban in Thiqat, and Bukhari gave his biography in Kuna 607. Accordingly, he is a Successor, and his hadith is a mursal report, since it is not mentioned here that he narrated it from Ibn Masud, and therefore it cannot be counted among his narrations in the Musnad. It appears in Majma al-Zawaid 5:302, where it is said, "Ahmad narrated it this way, and I did not see him mention Ibn Masud. Ibn Lahia is in it, and his hadith is hasan but has some weakness in it." It appears to be mursal, and its narrators are trustworthy.
