Umm Habibah, daughter of Abu Sufyan, said, "Allah, let me enjoy the company of my husband, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, my father Abu Sufyan, and my brother Muawiya."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "You have asked Allah concerning fixed lifespans, numbered days, and apportioned provisions. Nothing will be hastened before its time, nor delayed beyond it. Had you asked Allah to grant you refuge from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave, that would have been better, or more excellent."Monkeys were mentioned in his presence. Masaar said, I think he said, "and pigs," noting that they were among those that had been transformed.The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has never transformed anything and then left it offspring or descendants. Monkeys and pigs existed before that."
حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن علقمة بن مرثد عن المغيرة بن عبد الله اليشكري عن المعرور بن سويد
قالت أم حبيبة ابنة أبي سفيان اللهم أمتعني بزوجي رسول الله ﷺ وبأبي أبي سفيان وبأخي معاوية قال فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ إنك سألت الله لآجال مضروبة وأيام معدودة وأرزاق مقسومة لن يعجل شيء قبل حله أو يؤخر شيء عن حله ولو كنت سألت الله أن يعيذك من عذاب في النار وعذاب في القبر كان أخير أو أفضل قال وذكر عنده القردة قال مسعر أراه قال والخنازير إنه مما مسخ فقال النبي ﷺ إن الله لم يمسخ شيئا فيدع له نسلا أو عاقبة وقد كانت القردة أو الخنازير قبل ذلك
Its isnad is sahih. Masaar is Ibn Kudam. Alqama bin Marthad Hadrami is trustworthy and firmly reliable. Mughira bin Abdullah Yashkuri is trustworthy, Ajli deemed him trustworthy, Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, and Bukhari gave his biography in Al-Kabir 4/1/319. Maghrur bin Suwayd Asadi is trustworthy, Ibn Main and Abu Hatim and others deemed him trustworthy, and Bukhari gave his biography in Al-Kabir 4/2/39. It was related from Amash, who said, "I saw Maghrur bin Suwayd at the age of one hundred and twenty, with black hair and beard."Muslim related the hadith in 2/303 through Waki with this same isnad, and he also related it through Thawri, from Alqama bin Marthad, in the same manner.
