I came in to see the Prophet ﷺ while he was suffering from a fever. I touched him and said, "Messenger of Allah, you are burning with a severe fever."He replied, "Yes, I suffer fever the way two men among you would."I said, "Then surely you have a double reward."He answered, "Indeed. By the One in whose hand is my soul, there is no Muslim on earth afflicted by harm from illness or anything else without Allah causing his sins to fall away because of it, just as a tree sheds its leaves."
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن إبراهيم التيمي عن الحارث بن سويد
دخلت على النبي ﷺ وهو يوعك فمسسته فقلت يا رسول الله إنك لتوعك وعكا شديدا قال أجل إني أوعك كما يوعك رجلان منكم قلت إن لك أجرين قال نعم والذي نفسي بيده ما على الأرض مسلم يصيبه أذى من مرض فما سواه إلا حط الله عنه به خطاياه كما تحط الشجر ورقها
