He was asked, "Did you witness the Eid prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes, and were it not for my close kinship with him, I would not have witnessed it due to my young age. He prayed two rakahs, then delivered a sermon. Then he went to the marker near the house of Kathir bin Salt and exhorted the women, reminded them, and commanded them to give charity. They reached for their ears and throats and gave from them in charity."He said, "They handed it over to Bilal."
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا سفيان بن سعيد عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس قال سمعت
وسئل هل شهدت العيد مع رسول الله ﷺ فقال نعم ولولا قرابتي منه ما شهدته من الصغر فصلى ركعتين ثم خطب ثم أتى العلم الذي عند دار كثير بن الصلت فوعظ النساء وذكرهن وأمرهن بالصدقة فأهوين إلى آذانهن وحلوقهن فتصدقن به قال فدفعنه إلى بلال
