Abdullah bin Amr bin As reported,

A man killed his son intentionally, and the case was brought before Umar bin Khattab . He imposed on him a hundred camels, thirty hiqqahs, thirty jadhaahs, and forty thaniyahs, and he said, "The killer shall not inherit. Were it not that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A father is not to be killed for his child,' I would have killed you."

حدثنا أبو المنذر إسماعيل بن عمر أراه عن حجاج

عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده قال

قتل رجل ابنه عمدا فرفع إلى عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه فجعل عليه مائة من الإبل ثلاثين حقة وثلاثين جذعة وأربعين ثنية وقال لا يرث القاتل ولولا أني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا يقتل والد بولده لقتلتك
