Ikrima reported from Ibn Abbas that the delegation of Abdul-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and among them was al-Ashajj, the brother of Banu Asar. He then mentioned the same meaning.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا أبان قال سمعت قتادة يذكر عن سعيد بن المسيب
وعكرمة عن ابن عباس أن وفد عبد القيس أتوا رسول الله ﷺ فيهم الأشج أخو بني عصر فذكر معناه
