Malik bin Aws bin Hadathan reported,

Umar sent for me, and he mentioned the hadith and said, "The properties of Banu Nadir were among what Allah had bestowed upon His Messenger as spoils which the Muslims had not ridden any horses or camels to obtain. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would spend from it on his family for a year's maintenance, and what remained he would allocate for cavalry and weaponry as provision in the cause of Allah."

عن مالك بن أوس قال

أرسل إلي عمر رضي الله عنه فذكر الحديث وقال إن أموال بني النضير كانت مما أفاء الله على رسوله مما لم يوجف عليه المسلمون بخيل ولا ركاب فكان ينفق على أهله منها نفقة سنة وما بقي جعله في الكراع والسلاح عدة في سبيل الله عز وجل
