They both testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the use of gourds, green-glazed jars, vessels smeared with pitch, and hollowed-out stumps. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, "Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, abstain from it" [Hashr 59:7].
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا منصور بن حيان قال سمعت سعيد بن جبير يحدث
أنهما شهدا على رسول الله ﷺ أنه نهى عن الدباء والحنتم والمزفت والنقير ثم تلا رسول الله ﷺ {وما آتاكم الرسول فخذوه وما نهاكم عنه فانتهوا}
Its isnad is sahih, and it is from the hadith of Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar. Its meaning has already appeared from the hadith of Ibn Abbas several times, most recently at 3086, and something close to it has already appeared from both their hadiths together at 3257.
