Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ and the maternal aunt of Ibn Abbas, passed away. He said, "I went with him to Sarif."He praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, "This is the Mother of the Believers. Do not jolt her or shake her about. Be gentle with her. The Prophet of Allah had nine wives, and he used to divide his time among eight of them, but he did not allot a turn to the ninth," meaning Safiya bint Huyayy.Ata said, "She was the last of them to die. She died in Medina."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا ابن جريج قال
أن ميمونة زوج النبي ﷺ خالة ابن عباس توفيت قال فذهبت معه إلى سرف قال فحمد الله وأثنى عليه ثم قال أم المؤمنين لا تزعزعوا بها ولا تزلزلوا ارفقوا فإنه كان عند نبي الله تسع نسوة فكان يقسم لثمان ولا يقسم للتاسعة يريد صفية بنت حيي قال عطاء كانت آخرهن موتا ماتت بالمدينة
