We attended with Ibn Abbas the funeral of Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, at Sarif.Ibn Abbas said, "This is the wife of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When you lift her bier, do not jolt it or shake it, but handle it gently. He used to divide his time among eight wives and did not allot a turn to one."Ata said, "The one to whom he did not allot a turn was Safiya bint Huyayy bin Akhtab."

حضرنا مع ابن عباس جنازة ميمونة زوج النبي ﷺ بسرف فقال ابن عباس هذه زوجة رسول الله ﷺ فإذا رفعتم نعشها فلا تزعزعوها ولا تزلزلوا وارفقوا فإنه كان يقسم لثمان ولا يقسم لواحدة قال عطاء التي لا يقسم لها صفية بنت حيي بن أخطب
